I’m doing it again! True story.
Okay, so I know I didn’t quite make it all the way through the 31 days last year. But I did make it through a lot of them? Sort of?
In any case, it is once again almost October which means it is almost time to subject ourselves to the insanity of 31 straight days of horror movies. This year I’m doing things a little differently. This year, Mr. Matthew Bowers of Wrong Opinions About Movies and I are teaming up. Isn’t this exciting?!
If you missed, here’s my little intro video:
Here’s the deal:
Each week and weekend we’ll be covering a different set of movies. Movies with the same theme, by the same director, from the same country. We’ll each be watching a slightly different selection of movies but at the end of each bunch we’ll get together and compare. What did we think? What did we like? Where do we agree? Where do we disagree?
You’ll be able to find all of Matthew’s posts HERE.
We’ll also be hosting a couple of Google+ Hangouts to talk about whatever movies we’ve watched so far. Fun, right?!
Now in the past two years, I’ve held back from revealing what movies I’ll be watching through the month until I post about them. That’s also going to be different this year. This year, I’m going to tell you. Ahead. In advance. Like, right now.
Why?? What about surprises?! We like surprises
I’m telling you now for one simple reason. So you can watch along!!
See, isn’t that better?
My list isn’t set in stone or anything. Some of this is depending on availability and it’s all subject to change. But it’ll give you a rough idea at least.
So will you watch along with us?
Let us know what you’re watching! Am I missing anything critical on my list? Are you watching something different? Post in the comments and feel free to share links if you’ve got your own website or tumblr or twitter or wherever that you’re posting things.
This is going to be so fun. I’m so excited.
My basic requirements for the films I’ve picked were a) I haven’t written about it before and b) I want to see it. That being said, there are a couple on this list that are going to be a bit challenging for me. Like Last House on the Left. I’ve never seen that entire movie because I turned it off in the middle. So we’ll see how this goes!
And now here it is, my 31 Days of Horror Plan:
I Spit on Your Grave
Oct 5 & 6
The Curse of the Werewolf
The Curse of Frankenstein
The Vampire Lovers
Last House on the Left
The Hills Have Eyes
Oct 12 & 13
Dead Before Dawn
Slumber Party Massacre
Oct 19 & 20
The Loved Ones
One Missed Call
Oct 26 & 27
28 Days Later
Dance of the Dead
And that’s it. Have a suggestion? Let me know! As long as I haven’t written about it before, I’ll try to include as many of these as I can.
Yay scary movies!
