Paul Newman and those baby blues.

I’m generally not really into lawyer movies (sorry brother) and courtroom dramas and sadly The Verdict just didn’t really do it for me. The screenplay is great, is it is Mamet after all, but even brilliant writing can get you only so far when you find the subject matter itself boring. I guess I just never got into this character.

Still, I’m always happy watching Paul Newman. A movie with him can never be THAT bad. And the ending really is pretty great.
