Yeah, I know, it’s Friday the 13th and I didn’t watch a horror movie. What’s up with that? I dunno. I’m still recovering from Halloween.
Instead, Rachael and I watched a good and classic western, Sam Peckinpah’s Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. Mostly because wewanted to watch a western and this one has Bob Dylan.
I love Sam Peckinpah. Yes, I know his treatment of women is, um, questionable. But this is a case where I can usually get past that.
There’s the violence that he is of course known for. But there is also beautiful cinematography, great writing, and good stories.
Plus, Bob Dylan. I mentioned that part, right?
OK, we’re off to go hiking. Because I do actually do things other than sit on a couch and watch movies. Go figure.
