I’ve been debating over whether or not I want to post about this since it’s a really loose thing, but hell, why not? In keeping with that whole “New Year’s Resolution” thing, something I really normally don’t do, I’ve set myself a sort of rough goal for the year. I’ve been watching so many movies these last months, I figure I may as well make it a thing.

What sort of thing?

One of those “I’m gonna do a thing” every day for a year kind of things.

Yeah…

My goal for 2012 is to watch a movie a day.

Or, at least, as close to that as I can get. I mean, I’m sort of realistic about these things sometimes. I know there are going to be days I can’t watch movies. Probably a lot of those, knowing me.

So I guess, rather than a movie a day, it’s more like 365 movies this year?

Ew, that sounds like a lot.

But I’m going to do it!

I am going to watch a movie a day whenever I can. I’m not going to worry about missed days. If I can sometimes watch more than one movie in a day, Yay! I am also going to try and watch as many NEW movies as possible. I mean, new for me. Not necessarily New in the theaters New. But if I’ve seen a movie before, that’s OK too. I’m doing this for fun so whatever. I can watch what I want.

I am not going to write each day about the movies I’m watching. Because I can’t. That I know I don’t have the time for. Maybe I’ll do another 31 days in October or something like that but I’m not going to stress myself out here. I will try and maybe post short things though. Like trailers? Or pictures? I don’t know. Whatever I feel like.

I’ll take suggestions! Have a movie you think I would really like? Let me know! The whole point of this is to watch new things, expand my mind. Blow my mind even.

So here we go. It’s January 13th, 2012. To date I have watched 11 movies this year. See, I’m already one behind. Whatever.
