Spent the morning yesterday in Colby, KS. Katie’s Aunt Marilyn gave us a tour of their farm land and Katie & I climbed to the top of one of their grain bins. Katie also picked a pumpkin named Jefferey.

Then it was off to Nebraska. A fairly uneventful drive, especially when you compare it to the tornado excitement of the night before. We passed a town with a sign for a German POW camp, Katie decided she was going to marry the mayor of Wahoo, and eventually we met Katie’s cousin Aimee at the family farm. And then other nonsense happened including buckets of beer, a game of pool with a cranky local girl who thought Katie and I were trying to steal her man, another farm, a cool dog named Buster, and a rifle.

Oh yeah, and Katie drew a hand turkey.
